We have more exciting news about Wishes. Fat Quarter Shop has chosen our collection for their year-long quilt along! Each month will feature a different block. Here is a photo of the finished quilt (photo by Fat Quarter Shop):
Here is the best part. The pattern and tutorial are free, but you may donate any amount you wish when downloading the pattern. All the proceeds go to the Make A Wish foundation! Not only that, Moda Fabrics is matching all donations, up to $10,000.
We are so honored to have a small part in this amazing project, and very thankful "Wishes" was chosen for the sample quilt. If you participate in the Quilt Along, you are free to use any fabric you would like, but you can purchase a Wishes kit from Fat Quarter Shop.

There are only a few more days before Christmas and we, like you, are busy trying to get everything finished up. I haven't even started wrapping. Which is why we probably won't get to blogging again before the holiday. We just would like to wish everyone a wonderful and blessed Christmas!
My little boy is so excited about Christmas- but there is one thing he is not excited about. Getting his picture taken. Throughout the year, I try to capture at least one shot that I can use on a Christmas card. Good luck with that. If he knows I'm taking a picture of him, he will go into "making faces" mode. Every kind of face but a nice, natural smile. Here are some examples:
This was my last effort, just a few days ago:
At least he didn't stick out his tongue! Merry Christmas!
Great post.

too funny about your little guy - my son used to do the same thing - the joke is now on him - he's 32 and is in a serious relationship - those photos have been so much fun to show her!
have a wonderful Christmas

My favorite brand of fabric is Moda, no other fabric for me.

Maybe it is frustrating to you (the picture-taking dilemma), but at least he is adorable! You can't really go wrong with any of those pictures.
Merry Christmas!

My son was the exact same way. I have SO many goofy pictures of him when he was little. BTW, they do grow out of this stage. I still look at the pictures and giggle (with some lingering frustration)!
Merry Christmas!

I bought an FQ bundle of Wishes at my LQS yesterday using a 40% birthday discount. When I got home the Fat Quarter Shop posted about the BOM...a match made in heaven. I can't wait to start.
