We thought it would be a good time for us to say thankyou. Everyday we come to work we have orders in our Inbox, messages on our e-mail, replies on our blog and new fans on our Facebook page. We want you to know we appreciate all of you who support us- so we are doing something fun for you.
For the next week, anyone who places an order on our Etsy site will receive a surprise in their package. We call it our "Random Acts of Kindness Week". It might be a free greeting card:
A charm:
A free pattern:
Labels:
Maybe even a free canvas print:
Or a book:
We realize that not all prizes will be equal in value, but it will be totally random as to who gets what in their order. You may order a $3 pattern and end up with $25 book. You never know!
But you don't have to place an order to get in on the fun. Just visit our Etsy site, let us know what you would love to have for free in a comment on our blog and you just might win that item. We will choose a lucky winner next Thursday.
Remember, our Random Acts of Kindness week begins today and ends next Thursday.
Speaking of kindness, we wanted to let you know about a program we recently found out about. Lyanna Lee from PurplePandaQuilts is doing a very special thing. She works with foster children and wants those children to all have a real stocking for Christmas, so she is organizing a stocking drive. If you would like to help out and make a stocking for a special child, please visit her blog for more information. We know you all can whip out a stocking in a couple of hours (or less) and it would bring some much needed happiness to a child on Christmas. Please check it out!

Thank you for this wonderful opportunity! I often scope out your Etsy shop for wonderful goodies to add to my wish-list, and I am hoping to make my very first purchase soon, but I am so torn as to what I want! Do I get the sunkissed Circle print for my daughters room (I sing 'You are my sunshine' to her every night.) or, do I spoil myself and get the Custom Hometown Bunting Print, so I can remember home when we are living wherever the military sends us? Maybe you can decide for me! I'd love to win one of them; it would make deciding so much easier!
Thanks!

Oh I love your patterns! I finally bought one I'd been eyeing for a while, can't wait to get it! And I JUST bought the one with the tiny bunting... better get sewing!! Thank you in advance for the little goodie... treats, how exciting! (Part of me hopes it's your book... I've peeked through it but it's not in the budget these days.)
Big blessings, Kimberly

I have been eyeing up the Christmas Countdown kit for about a year now. I figure if I want it up by December 1st I need to start it now or it will never get finished :)
You guys are great!!

Oooh, I would love the All Decked Out pattern or the book you're giving away. Everything on your site is delightful.

This is pretty awesome of you gals to do this! If I had to pick something, I'd say a canvas print. I just bought a house and would love to have one to hang on the wall.
Thanks again!

Love your "random acts of kindness" idea- I love your stuff- i even have the sunshine print. It was the song I used to sing to my daughter when she was young...
Love the Town Square quilt pattern.. the book looks great!
Thanks for your generosity!

I love all of the Hometown patterns so much - most especially the Lighthouse pattern and the Intersection pattern! I'm sad I missed out on the Halloween Treat Bag kits!
Posted by: Molly | Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at 05:51 PM
Sweetwater's book. I'll use some of
my labels for bookmarks :)
Posted by: ela | Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at 02:18 PM
How generous...if I was to choose one item it would be the Quilt Block Subway Art-Color.
I recently bought some of your Hometown fabric, just because it had the word Paducah on it...4 girlfriends & myself fly to America from Australia to go to the Paducah Quilt show this year. Great memories of a special trip.

I love your patterns. If I were chosen, I'd love to have the Sunkissed Apron pattern and labels. My package for those along with the fabric never arrived back when I ordered it. I understand it's out of your hands once you mail it but I'd still love to have the pattern nevertheless.

I love random acts of kindness and I love all of your stuff. Charms or books or really anything would be awesome. Thanks so much for sharing. Are there going to be anymore fabric kits for the little halloween bags? I was going to order the pattern, labels and fabric but didn't see the fabric in your etsy shop. I saw where you had a note that there were more in the shop ... did I miss out? Thanks again for sharing.

I just placed my order last week for the Down Home Tote pattern and the fabric for the towel that you had on the blog. I received my items very fast and can't wait to make the towel first. But, if I could order again I would love to find that new book in my package!
Posted by: Phyllis | Monday, October 10, 2011 at 10:37 AM
That is so incredibly generous of you. I don't know that I've ever seen another site do something like this.
If I ordered something and found a special surprise tucked in there, I'd love it to be the Neighborhood Pattern. I don't ever treat myself to quilting patterns, so getting something like that fantastic pattern would be the best.
and *I* always love to find *you* in my inbox. :)

If I win I would like the Sewing Words Subway art...no wait... I like the Quilt Block Subway. One or the other, I love them the same and either would look fantastic in my sewing room, right along side the Hometown lamp shades I made this weekend. I think I just need to change the payee on my paycheck to SweetWater. Loving that Hometown...and Sunkissed...and Authentic...and, well you get the picture. You ladies ROCK. Keep it coming. Thank you.

Second choice would be the subway art talking about sewing. (oh heck who am I kidding anything you guys do is great)

I discovered Sweetwater while living abroad for two years in a place where 100% cotton is not available. I'm on my way home and I'm ready to get back to quilting. Love the sewing words and the quilt block subway art. I have also fallen in love with the intersection pattern. Thank you for being so creative and generous!

I would love to own anything created by you girls, but if I was to choose the sewing subway art would take pride of place in my sewing room.Thank you.

The Sunkissed Blessing Print would be my choice from your shop. I've got a bit of Irish in me blood, so it's special in that way, too. Thanks for the chance to win!

Thanks for your random act of kindness - will have to go shopping in your shop!!!
If I could choose something from your shop it would have to be the Blessing Print. After living half my life on our farm we have sold and brought another so the print would be just perfect to go into the entrance way of our new home..
Again thank - love all your things......

What a wonderful way to say thanks! I have the book, many of the labels (since I belong to the Label Crew) but I love your charms or prints....especially the Blessings Print. Thanks to SweetWater for having so many wonderful offerings!

I am addicted to your labels, so I would say any of your label sets would be fabulous. I purchased some Pure cuts about 9 months after their release and discovered you had labels to match another 6 months after that. Well, I just had to have them and, after much internet searching, finally found an on-line shop that had some left. You guys have wonderful ideas. I think half of your shop inventory is in my Etsy favs. Keep up the good work!

Oh goodness!!! Too many fun things to pick from! I'd probably have to pick either your book (so excited to see it) or a customized Hometown canvas print.

I have to tell you that I like every one of your fabric lines. They get more beautiful as you go and I can't wait for Reunion. I have my Countdown to Christmas ready to be cut out and I would love to have your new book.
