This makes me happy

the best part about the 4th... reminding myself how great it is to be an american! It is just a great day to celebrate. thanks for a chance to win some of your lovelies :) janita

Fourth of July was a very quiet relaxing day around the pool with family. The night sky was lit up with beautiful fireworks!! Can't get enough of those.

The best part of the fourth was spending it with my husband. We sat on our front porch and watched the brightly lit sky.
The potholders are just perfect. They would be perfect in my kitchen with my new make life sweet curtains.

We had a very quiet 4th this year. I guess that is what happens when you finally have an empty nest.

The house pincushion is so cute!

Way fun blog hop!! Going to be a potholder Queen now!

I usually love the 4th of July holiday because we're still celebrating my birthday from July 2nd. But this year my husband was called in to work because of power outages. He worked until 10:30 pm, and it certainly didn't feel like a holiday. The kids and I still had a cookout and watched neighbor's fireworks.

Hello,
I am brand new to your blog! I love your ideas and pattern for the pot holders! Also your little house pin cushion is darling.
Thank you for your part in this follow along--What fun!

My favortie part of the 4th.....getting together with family and the sense of patriotism that sweels in me as I hear the songs, watch the flags blowing in the breeze and enjoy the day with a picnic and fireworks. BTW I LOVE your hometown fabric!!!

The wonderful colors and excitement of the fireworks and of coarse, family.

Oh, you keep teasing us with Hometown...favorite part about the 4th year was a contract on our house...we are moving! Yeah! Lisa in Texas

The best part of my 4th was spending time with the hubs instead of work!

Very nice potholders and I love your house pin cushion. Thanks for participating in the blog hop.

Cute potholders. I like family at the 4th.

LOVE THE 4TH OF JULY-OUR INDEPENDENCE CELEBRATION! BESIDES CELEBRATING OUR FREEDOM,WE CELEBRATE FAMILY+FRIENDS GETTING TOGETHER TOO!

We like the neighborhood parade, complete with the fire engines spraying a plume of water. Later, a family cookout and of course, fireworks at the stadium.

The best part of the 4th of July is watermelon dripping down your chin and good friends and family gathered around. Love those potholders!

I love the 4th of July because I can eat watermelon and if my face is dirty no one cares.

The best part of the celebration is the children, their excitement and awe! Don't forget to throw in a little history lesson so they know the reason we celebrate (teachers do this for holidays during the school year, but it's up to us to teach them about Independence Day)

Yes, I'm new to your blog. Glad to be on this blog hop and add new ones to my Reader. Thanks for the chance to win!!! Fireworks are my favorite thing for the Fourth and waving an American flag at any and all opportunities!

4th was a big deal back in the 70s for me - when fireworks were legal in NYC. Now it is a warm fuzzy memory. :)

Thank you so much for the potholder tutorial! I'm so excited! Potholders are in short supply at my house!
For the 4th of July, my sister-in-law has an annual bbq that we attend. Lot of food, swimming and fireworks at the end. My kids LOVE going!

The Best part of the 4th was spending time with my Uncle (who has been really sick)and Aunt, my brother visiting, my mother-in-law and husband, from out of town and my cousin from out of town! Can't get much better than that!

I am new to your blog and I'm having fun going back and reading some of your previous blog days. Thanks for the cute potholder pattern. Me and my sister used to make so many when we were little with the looms and loops of fabric. We had so much fun.
Reading back on your last post, I want to say ThankYou. I'm a mail carrier, have been for 25 years and I really miss delivering all the cards and receiving them too! I love the computer, but it's so much better and exciting to open an invitation that comes in the mail. It's nice to have something in your hands to read. It seems so much more personal. Thanks, Karen M

Best part of 4th of July is spending time with family, swimming, barbequing, playing games and watching fireworks from our backyard :) Thanks for the giveaway!

As a family we plant in the backyard, play in the kiddie pool and visit a local park my husband played at as a child. My kids love that is all about family... and it connects them to what's truly important. Of course we watch the fireworks after a family dinner. And I am so not new to you and your awesome blog - you all ROCK!

We had no 'real' plans for the day...just loaded up the picnic basket, the kids, and started driving...they chose left or right until we reached a town about an hour or so away.

It was fun not knowing where we were going to end up and we all had a fun afternoon together!

Thanks!
Julie
